The Morbid Empire This is a pack based upon power and power alone. You are either of use to the pack or not, and if you are deemed useless, you are cast out. There are no weak links tolerated in this pack, only the strong will survive. The reasons for this being, one - the Empire is based in a harsh, unforgiving desert where - and two, Syndra hates all forms of weakness. Benevolence and compassion are counted as signs of weakness within and loyalty towards anyone other than Syndra, The Overseer, The Spymaster, or the Transcendents is unnecessary and simply not thought of. The Morbid Empire does not understand the concepts of mercy and strive to consolidate more power and resources in order to gain the upper hand against the other packs. They are known to be violent and unforgiving, cruelly maiming those who wander too close to their territory. This innate cruelty within the Empire does not lead into chaos or dissent, anyone who deviates from Syndra's, or her High Overseers', orders are killed, maimed, or left for dead in the middle of the desert. Fear is used to keep the lower, nonthreatening Omegas in line, while the stronger wolves are usually compliant in hopes of moving up within the pack, or for their own reasons alone.
The Morbid Empire is a meritocracy, meaning wolves with clear skill in a certain area will excel and move up within the pack. The higher up in the pack you are, the easier surviving the deserts will be, as the highest ranking wolves have first dibs on food, water, etc. This is another ploy to root out the weak, elderly, etc. In regards to the Elderly, Syndra chooses to only keep the ones who have served her loyally and efficiently, keeping them around to train and watch over future generations of her subjects. Pups, although rare, are taken at an early age to be trained in basic skills such as hunting, foraging, fighting, etc. until their innate talents appear and then their training specializes. It is perfectly acceptable to step on others or betray them in order to rise in the pack, in fact, it is nearly encouraged. Knowing how to maneuver politically is crucial here, as not all arguments are won through bloodshed, occasionally silver-tongued words and manipulating is all one needs to grease the wheels. Aside from this custom, The Morbid Empire functions like any other pack; however, it can be argued that they are more prone to violence, having become a strong reason for other packs to never stray too close to the desert.
